What do you do when finding clients, slowly nursing them into being actual clients, doing the work and then slowly, so slowly, nursing them into being actual paying clients, what do you do when doing that over and over for three years gets to be a little bit grating?  Get someone else to do it, of course.

Got some new nibs for my Wacom Bamboo yesterday, and my god what a difference.

I’ve had my Bamboo for the last three years, and had the same nib in it for all that time.  Those things wear down.  Being that I bought it three years ago, the replacement nibs were long gone, and the one that was in the stylus had worn down to a sharpened nub.  Still worked, but it felt like it needed to be dragged hard to get some traction.

So I hopped on eBay, threw down $8, and five days later had m’nibs.

Like I said, massive difference.  The tired old device now feels so much more responsive and robust.  And here I was thinking about buying a whole new tablet.

Mind you, that said, I have been looking at the Yiynova 10” LCD tablet.  At $290, it’s a quarter the price of Wacom’s offering in the space, and the reviews are impressive.  Maybe next month.  I’ve been waiting the better part of five years for something like this, so another few weeks won’t hurt.
